Roulette Uncovered
Roulette is a game that was played in the 17th. century and is also one of the most popular games in a casino.
The game is designed for the player to not look at the wheel. Casinos do not like players to see the wheel very well. That is why the wheels are far from the layout table and seats are low.
The spin of the wheel is controlled by the dealer. So it does help if the player can see the signature of the dealer´s spin and try to calculate where the ball will fall.
Up to 8 players will play against the house, who is represented by a croupier or dealer. They spin the roulette and handle all the wagers and payouts.
Every player purchases different coloured chips to avoid confusion when bets are up. At the end of the game, you convert your chips into cash chips. You then cash these chips at the cash desk.
To play roulette, you place your bets on numbers, including zero, on the table layout. Once all bets are placed, the dealer will spin the wheel and launch the ball. A few moments before the ball is about to drop into a numbered slot on the wheel, the dealer will yell “no more bets”.
From that moment, no one is allowed to place or change bets. Once the dealer places the dolly on the winning number on the table and clears all the losing bets, can a player then start a new bet.
The winners are the ones who placed bets on or around the number that came up. Bets outside the layout can win if the number won is represented on the table.
So while it pays to look at the wheels, also look for signature roulette. A player will know the signature spin of the dealer and play at that table to try to gain advantage over the house.
