6. Decide whether you want to hit lots of small wins or go for less frequent larger wins, then place your bets accordingly. As a general rule, the outside bets will enable you to hit lots of small wins more often, and the inside bets will hit bigger amounts albeit less often. All of the bets have the same odds.

7. Try betting the even odds bets, like red or black and odd or even, if you want to have lots of small wins. These pay out at even money, even though you don’t really have even odds of winning, it still seems pretty close to even odds sometimes.

8. If you want to go for a bigger win once in a while, betting single numbers can sometimes pay out at 35 to 1.

9. Do not be fooled into thinking if red has come up three times in a row that black will be due. It’s not quite that simple, every spin of the wheel is an independent trial, which means the odds of a particular outcome are fixed. Previous results have no bearing on the probability of the next result.

10. Do not waste time trying to find biased wheels, unless you are totally committed! It would take literally thousands of spins to find a real biased roulette wheel with any reasonable degree of certainty, and even if you find one, the casino can move the wheel to another table at any time.
