Table Hold
The money won by the casino table game from players during an eight-hour shift.
Table Stakes
In a poker game, a players´ limited funds equal the amount of money a player can bet.
Taking the Odds
In most casino games the player is ‘taking the odds’ by betting an amount less than they will receive if they win.
Tapping Out
Players losing their entire gambling funds so they must stop playing.
Tell Play
Observing the dealer or player body languages and expressions to determine their cards.
Third Base
In blackjack, the player nearer to the dealer’s right hand. This hand will be played last before the dealer’s hand.
Third Street
In a seven-card stud game, the first round of betting where the players have three cards.
Three-Card Monte
A fun three-card game similar to Bragg.
Three of a Kind
In a poker game, three cards of the same rank.
Ticket
A card.
Time Cut
Fee charged to a player in a room or casino.
Toke
A tip given to a dealer in the form of money or chips.
Token
The casino’s own coins used to play slot machines instead of real coins.
Touch Wand
A pointing device often used on some video keno machines to select numbers.
Tournament
A competition game between a group of players over a set period of time.
Trips
Three cards of identical rank.
Tronc
A box for collecting the dealer tips given by players when they win.
True Odds
The true odds of something happening. Actual odds taken into account to calculate the casino edge. The ratio of the number of times one event will occur versus the number of times that it will not. The odds posted in a casino are not often the true odds
