Odds

Ratio of probabilities, where an amount that a bet pays off. For example 2 to 1, 40 to 1, etc.

Off

This term is used for lost bets.

Off track betting

Usually a term associated with people wagering outside of a racetrack.

On tilt

A player reacting negatively to a lost poker hand, brought on by poor judgement.

One roll bet

This term is used in Craps. A bet that will lose or win on a single dice roll.

Open

In a poker game, the first bettor opens the game.

Outside bets

Roulette bets that are located outside of the layout. You can bet from 12 to 18 numbers at any time.

Overlay

Where a player has a good bet and edge over the casino
