Marker

A check that can be written at the gaming tables by a player who has established credit with the casino. Also known as Front Money.

Martingale System

A wagering method by which a player doubles up after a loss.

Match Play

A gambling method used in tournaments in which players compete against each other until such time as one player reaches a set number of points.

Mechanic

A crooked dealer. Slang.

Mini-baccarat

The scaled-down version of baccarat, often played with fewer players, dealers, and formality but they follow the same rules as baccarat.

Money

A gambling term for $500. Not used often.

Money Put In Action

Another term for all money wagered during a gambling session, including the winnings after each game or round. This is not used to indicate only the money first wagered.

Monkey

Sometimes a term used for a card value of 10
