When you are gambling it is essential that you be mindful of some simple but basic rules. There are certain Dont’s in gambling that if followed will ensure your wallet isn’t emptied:

Firstly, decide on a budget or a bankroll and do not waiver from that amount no matter what.

Do not treat your bankroll like play money even if you are playing games. It is real money you are dealing with.

Do not become greedy when you are on a winning streak. Ensure you have a set goal such as a 15 per cent profit. Be over zealous and those winnings will quickly diminish when the streak ends.

Do not double up on your losses, or make bigger or unplanned bets. Stick to your budget for the session.

Do not relay on untried or unproved betting systems. Bet simply and safely at all times.

Do not allow distractions to affect your playing time. Ensure your sessions are planned as far as time and money is concerned, and play with the right mindset and mood that is free from the effects of alcohol.

Do not go out of your depth as far as bets that you don’t understand are concerned. While some may sound exotic and tempting, don’t try to impress anyone with such a bet.

Do not become complacent and unappreciative of your winnings. Gambling is a game against the odds, so all wins should be treasured.

Do not let gambling rule your life. Playing should always be about fun and enjoyment and a little win is nice to have along the way.
